A lot of my clients ask me if they are in a karmic relationship? And my answer is always in the affirmative. After all you have taken birth on the planet Earth so your relationships have to be Karmic.
Many of us think that karmic relationships are always bad. Though not wrong, this is a one sided thought. All karmic relationships are neither good nor bad but it is a way of us learning lessons and paying for what we did! And the adage that living in a cave high up in the mountains with no friends or family or contacts will remove you from them is also not correct.
Before I dive further, let me define Karma. With phrases like ‘Karma is a bitch’ or ‘Instant Karma’, Many of us think of it as some kind of payback system, like ‘As you sow, so shall you reap’.
But Karma is much more than that. Think of it like a bank account – where instead of money, you deposit deeds. And no debt/ credit is written off! If you owe someone or are owed, there has to be one or many transactions. These debts could be from present life or past lives and transactions can be in the current life or in future lives. These debts can also be in the form of deals, barriers, oaths/ pledges, curses or agreements.
What kind of relationships are karmic?
Lets take a couple of examples –
- A client of mine was having a long standing dispute with his wife. Neither could they get separated nor could they stay with each other. When we opened his soul records, a list of past lives opened up where they both had hurt or killed each other! We helped the client clear away those debts that he had already paid and they were able to separate and lead their own lives.
- Another client’s relationship with his brother had always been like strangers even as children. The client wanted to improve upon it but the result was always not commensurate with the efforts put in. Another example of a karmic relationship! His soul records showed that his brother had broken his trust in a previous life. Once the barrier was lifted, their relationship started improving.
So you see, we carry our karma in our energetic field and unconsciously play out past life scenarios together. And these carry lessons that we need to learn in the current life. We may struggle with, or be unconsciously drawn to someone with whom we have a role to play. And the history repeats itself until its been worked through and healed.
Our relationships in this lifetime are an offshoot of the past lives. What presents itself, on the surface is only what we perceive, and what is underneath is our debts to that soul. All our relationships are meant to be a form of unconditional love. And we can achieve this by working through the cycle of karma. This work could be conscious or subconscious but, it will bring you into some level of unconditional love. This is the only way to reach a level where we can step out of the karmic circle or ‘leave the matrix’.
